4th and 5th graders can improve their vocal technique and expand their musical knowledge by joining chorus. We rehearse before school at 8:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Chorus students perform in two concerts each year, one in December and one in May. We have tons of fun and make beautiful music! Anyone in 4th and 5th grade can join!

5th graders can join drama club to explore singing, acting, and production skills. Rehearsals take place after school between October and February. Each year we put on a major production in February. This year's musical is The Wizard of Oz. There are so many characters in this play! I hope all the 5th graders try out!

All students from K-5th grade take general music class at Wenonah Elementary School. General music classes take place once a week during the school day in half-hour time blocks. In general music students sing, dance, play instruments, listen to a variety of music, compose their own songs, arrange songs, improvise, read music, and work in groups to create musical performances. Students receive general music grades on their report cards.
