Geography B
WHS Geography satisfies the Minnesota State geography requirement for graduation. Students will be asked to explore the relationship between culture, landforms, and climate using critical thinking and problem solving skills to prepare them for life in an increasingly globalized society.
AP Macroeconomics
AP Microeconomics
AP Microeconomics is an elective that satisfies one-half of the senior social studies requirement for graduation. Students will be asked to explore economic principles using critical thinking and problem solving skills to prepare for living in a world in which they work, buy, sell, and participate as citizens who make choices.
AA Political Science
Political Science is required for graduation. This class is devoted to American’s relationship to their government, and attempts to explain how their leaders, institutions, and policies shape communities: local, national and international. Only if these relationships are fully understood can Americans participate as responsible, informed, and engaged citizens in a 21st century democratic republic.
