Fifth Grade Music
One 45 minute session a week
Grading system is as follows:
M=Meets Expectations
N=Needs improvement

Strike 2 - Behavior sheet sent home to parent
Strike 3 - Loss of recess
Objectives
Students will review and be able to perform basic rhythmic notation in a piece of music.
Students will review basic music symbols and identify and use them in a piece of music.
Students will play classroom instruments in a band format.
Students will study the origins of Jazz.
