One 45 minute session a week

M=Meets Expectations
N=Needs Improvement
Performance consists of a Patriotic Play at Geography night.

Unit 2 - Rhythm—beats in sets of two and three
Unit 3– Melody—melodic contour
Unit 4 - Harmony– ostinatos, partner songs, rounds
Unit 5 - Melody—phrases
Unit 6 - Form—AB,ABA, ABC, Rondo Form
Unit 7—Rhythm—experiment with various rhythm patterns including dotted rhythms
Unit 8—Tone Color—vocal
Unit 9—Tone Color—instrumental
