Organizational Contest (5th Grade Band and Middle School Band)
March 23, 2013
This is a mandatory performance for students to be eleigible for field trips. We spend January, February and March preparing for this contest.

The 5th Grade Band will be asked to wear a SOLID white shirt, black shoes and black pants. The pants must be solid black. Girls may wear capri's but not the boys. Part of our score is judged on appearance!

The Middle School Band Students will be wearing their band uniforms. We will change into the uniform at East Alton Middle School (performance site).

All students MUST ride the bus to the performance, however, they may ride home with their parents once their uniforms are turned in and hung properly.

East Alton does have a concession stand so you may want to send the Middle School students with money while they are waiting for the 5th graders in warm-up.

Middle School students MUST watch the 5th grade performance.

Parents - feel free to cheer loudly. The kiddos may be anxious and/tense. Making things less "stuffy" for them may relax them a bit! And they will love the applause as they walk in, after each piece and when they are finished!

After the groups have performed, our results will be posted in the cafeteria. The students will be asked to pack up their instruments, then meet in the cafeteria for our results.
