It will give you a glimpse into how the government operates and the electoral process. Throughout this class we will discuss a variety of concepts related to government. These include popular sovereignty, limited government, separation of powers, checks and balances, judicial review, and federalism. Hopefully, upon finishing this course you will better appreciate the political process and its role in our society.
Civilization
World Civilization is a course that will give students an overview of the major events and cultures in world history.
Geography
World Geography is an introduction to the culture and climate of the world. It will give you a glimpse into how different parts of the world use the resources available to them. Throughout this class we will discuss a variety of concepts related to geography. These include physical characteristics, economics, government, population, ecosystems, environment, science, technology, patterns of settlement and others. Hopefully, upon finishing this course you will better appreciate geography’s role in the development of society.
