| Seminar and Experiential Education

|
| First period Seminar is an opportunity for both our 9th and 10th graders to complete homework, study, read or receive extra help from their on-team teachers. Students are also expected to participate in peer groups facilitated by Mrs. Tassiello, our team social worker. In addition, part of the Seminar grade is what we call Experiential Education, which is the extra-curricular requirement for all of our team students. Students receive one full credit for the successful completion of Seminar. |

Extra-Curricular Requirement

| By October 1st, you will need to have something lined up for the "Experiential Education" requirement. Clubs, sports, jobs, after-school programs, babysitting, etc. all count toward this. |

| No English homework, but begin to think seriously about how you will complete the extra-curricular requirement. |

Upcoming Field Trips

9th graders will be going to the Hopkins School for an adventure on the low ropes course on October 1st!
Both 9th and 10th graders will heading to Sleeping Giant for a hike and a cookout.

CARE Journals

| You will be receiving your CARE journals on 8/31 in Seminar. At the end of each class, you will be prompted to write a few sentences reflecting on that class period in terms of your conduct and effort. Your 5th period teacher will collect these back until the following day. |
