Marine Biology Period 2
Marine Biology Period 2 Message Board
Welcome to Marine Biology! I hope you enjoy this half-year overview of marine science. There has never been a more important time to learn about the ocean. Seeing as it covers 3/4 of the Earth's surface, produces 2/3 of the Earth's oxygen and houses 90% of the Earth's animals, it can easily be argued that "saving the Earth" begins with saving the ocean! Truth is, we can't save what we don't understand and appreciate...that's where I come in.

My goal is to introduce you to as many aspects of ocean life and current issues as possible in the short time we have, in order to help you develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of this massive collection of ecosystems. If there's ever anything that you'd like to learn more about, just speak up...if I can work it into our curriculum, I will!

Past Events and Homework
EARLY DISMISSAL
October 22, 2009
In this short class, student will have a short quiz on experimental design. Any remaining time will be used to get materials ready for lab tomorrow.
Chemical and Physical Properties of Water
October 13, 2009
Students will take notes from the water powerpoint which was started last Friday in class. Powerpoint and class handouts are linked below.
