The final ceremonies have concluded and the olympic athletes have returned to their home countries and it is time to tally the medals. The USA led with a total of 110 medals breaking the 108 mark set years ago. The Hispanic countries though won a total of 59 medals with Cuba leading the other countries with 24! The second ranking country in Olympic medals was Spain with 18. Other countries earning medals were the Dominican Republic, Panama, Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Argentina.
