I'd like to start off by saying how excited I am to be at Calvert High this year! I have heard wonderful things about the students and parents and can't wait to get to know you more personally this year.

This will be my sixth year of teaching English in CCPS. I spent the last five years teaching English at Huntingtown. I recently moved into the Calvert community and wanted to start working in a neighboring school, so here I am!

My main background is in English Literature. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Literature from the University of Pittsburgh and my Master of Science in supervision and administration from McDaniel College. I plan on spending a lot of time on writing this year as it seems to be the area of greatest need in students across the board.

My goal this year is to create and provide a positive and energetic learning environment that engages students in the wonderment of learning. I also hope my students will learn to have pride in themselves and realize how great they are.

Includes 3rd period with just Ms. Soroka and periods 5 and 6 with Ms. Soroka and Mr. Holm.
