Parents and students: You should be able to find your current homework assignments listed under your period. If you need further assistance please email me at judy.sorochynskyj@boontonschools.org Please know that there is homework MOST nights and you can expect either a quiz or test a week!
Also please remember that I am available after school some Mondays, and most Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays!!! I am also available for Academic Lunch Period 7 everyday except Thursdays. Please take advantage of this extra help time and come see me in the Library.
Algebra I Period 4
This course is a complete and comprehensive first-year Algebra course with emphasis on the algebraic structure of the number system. Topics include solving equations and inequalities, quadratic functions, absolute value, factoring, matrices, and graphing linear and quadratic functions.

This course is a complete and comprehensive first-year Algebra course with emphasis on the algebraic structure of the number system. Topics include solving equations and inequalities, quadratic functions, absolute value, factoring, matrices, and graphing linear and quadratic functions.
Freshmen Focus Math Period 1
This course is designed to reinforce math fluency skills for freshmen, in addition to their regularly scheduled mathematics class. Students will build their computational skills, including work with fractions, decimals, percents, and integers. Students will also increase their problem solving skills and build a strong working “math” vocabulary. The class will be designed around a warm-up designed to strengthen number sense and computational skills. The warm-up will be followed by direct instruction of specific skills for the week, followed by hands-on problem solving tasks to be performed by each student.
