The VBMS Jim Dillon Scholarship was created in 2010 by the Society by the Sea to honor Mr. Dillon's years of service to education and young adults. He was dedicated to helping every VB student reach his or her potential, and we continue this tradition by offering a $500 dollar scholarship in his name. In the Spring, close to Mr. Dillon's favorite holiday, St. Patrick's Day, we hold a Bake Sale to fund the scholarship.

In 2011 we gave away one scholarship to a deserving VB graduate Reagan Killon. In 2012 we continued to give away scholarships. Megan Long and Shane Devlin both received scholarships from the Society by the Sea.
