Welcome to The Scribe!  We are the writing center for Renaissance High School.  The purpose of The Scribe is to help writers become better writers.  We offer face-to-face consultations and email consultations.
 
Hours: Monday-Friday 2:35-3:35; no appointment necessary.
Location: The breakout room between rooms 114 and 116.  Please enter through room 116.

Email Consultations:
We believe the best way to talk to you about your writing is in person; however, we recognize that it can be difficult to visit The Scribe after school.  If you don’t have time to visit The Scribe in person, you can still receive a detailed response letter with feedback on your writing from one of our consultants.
 

• This service is for students of Renaissance High School.
• Writers may submit one piece of writing per week.
• Only 4 pages of double-spaced writing will be accepted per session. If your paper is longer than 4 pages, you may submit portions of it over a period of time. You may also submit the portion that you have the most questions about with a summary of the rest of the paper in the body of the email.
• Please submit your paper as a Word attachment.
• Rather than using a track changes feature to mark and edit papers, we look for patterns of errors and describe options on how to address them.
• You will receive a response letter with specific recommendations about your paper within 72 hours, excluding weekends.
