Yves Fleurant at Andover Middle School

I would like to welcome you back to a new and fantastic 2012-2013 school year. This year, the bar has been raised a little higher for myself, you (student), and you (parents). I will be implementing strategies that promote a student-centered learning environment through hands-on activities, and scientific investigations through systematic observations, experiments, and research assignments. Students will be working more cooperatively in researching, preparing, and making presentations in order to assess what they have learned. Special emphasis will be placed on those activities that are aligned to the benchmarks that are consistently assessed in the FCAT; thus equipping them with the knowledge and confidence they will need to perform well on that test. In order to accomplish these goals, I am expecting you to aim for an "A," academically and behaviorally. As to you parents, if you are reading this welcome message, then you already know what is expected of you. So, let's begin our journey!!!
