Welcome to first semester of 8th Grade United States History. We will be studying all kinds of interesting and important information about our nation. The year begins with a review of U.S. geography and then we'll begin our study of the American Revolution. Please let me know if you have comments or questions.

| In 8th grade we begin our study of American History in the 1770's with the American Revolution and conclude the year with the American Civil War in the 1860's. In addtion to the American Revolution and the Civil War, we will also be studying the U.S. Constitution, Westward Expansion, the Industrial Revolution, the Mexican-American War and the U.S. political system. |

| The band and choir students will be preforming at the elementary schools today. We also have an assembly in the later part of the morning. During class we will work on the Chapter 10 Test Review. It will be due before the test next week. |
