French II-IV independent studies should work independently through the text, noting and using new vocabulary, grammatical structures, and cultural information. Taking this information, students should then work through the assignments listed below.
For each unit, all of the following must be completed by the due date:
1. WRITING PROFICIENCY: The document for each unit will be available by download. Students may print and fill out the hand out, or they may use their own paper. ADDITIONALLY, students need to post regularly to the message board. Each student should post to my topics, as well as reply to each others' posts each week.
2. LISTENING COMPREHENSION: The document is available for download, but students are welcome to just make their own answer sheets. The listening tracks for the book and for the listening comprehension tests will be available in the classroom or as MP3 discs that students may load onto their ipods. IPODS MAY BE USED FOR THIS COURSE IN CLASS, BUT ONLY ON THE ASSIGNED WORK.
3. READING PROFICIENCY: The handout will be available to download and print, but students are welcome to make and use their own answer sheets.
4. SPEAKING PROFICIENCY: Students must make arrangements for oral victimization for each unit, based on the speaking proficiency document available for download. I will choose 1-3 of the topics at random from those on the sheet. Students need to come prepared to speak on these topics without notes. Additionally, students will work together to enact 1-3 of these speaking assignments for the video camera. This will begin with unit 3.
4. STARTING WITH ROUGE LEVEL: ADD VIDEO ACTIVITIES.
