Students, Parents, and Guardians:
In Grade 8, students study the history of the United States from the early colonial period through Reconstruction. Students will study how economic, social, and political characteristics shaped key events in our nation’s history. Primary and secondary source material such as biographies and autobiographies; novels; speeches, letters, diaries, poetry, songs, video clips, and artworks will be used to encourage student engagement.
