Welcome Back
Welcome back to a new school year. To incoming Freshmen, welcome to Boonton High School where you will meet the greatest students in the world. This is an incredibly welcoming place where you will meet a wide range of people who have had some amazing experiences. We expect you to make a significant contribution to our educational community.
To the returning students, I look forward to the pleasure of working again with all of you.
Learning Strategies/ Advanced Learning Strategies
Learning Strategies and Advanced Learning Strategies provide students with skills that assist them in learning. Some topics addressed are time management, planning, personal learning styles, note taking, listening skills and organizational skills. Students will complete activities to improve skills in class; then apply these skills to specific academic course assignments.
United States History I
United States History I examines American History from the Revolution through post Civil War industrialization. Students will study the development of our nation with emphasis on the Constitution, sectional differences, westward expansion and industrialization.
United States History II
United States History II addresses the recent history of the United States beginning with the Progressive movement through recent events. Key topics discussed will focus on World Wars I & II as well as cultural changes throughout the 20th century.
World History
World History covers the Middle Ages through the Modern Period in Western History. In addition students will survey the traditional cultures of Africa and Asia.
