Business Technology/Multimedia
Increase you knowledge of computers and software. Many software packages will be covered including: Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Audacity, Flash, Premiere Pro and Windows MovieMaker. Grading is all performance based. Open to grades 10-12.
Accounting I
This year long accounting course primarily helps a person understand the principles of accounting and why accounting is necessary for every business and for every individual. First it is an introduction to double-entry accounting by covering the complete accounting cycle in its simplest form. The accounting cycle is then expanded by using special journals, subsidiary ledgers, and more detailed financial statements. Topics covered include payroll and checking. As accounting principles are learned, they will be applied to problems, projects and eventually simulations. Accounting is designed for the student interested in a career in the business world, as well as for the individual who must apply accounting knowledge to their personal record keeping. Grades 10, 11 and 12. Accounting I is a prerequisite for Accounting II.
Accounting II
This advanced accounting II class studies departmentalized, budgetary, cost and management accounting for both manufacturing and merchandising business. This course will prepare a student for an entry-level accounting position and provide a strong foundation for accounting and business study in college. Prerequisite: Accounting I. Recommendations: “B” average in Accounting I. Grades 11 and 12. Limit 20 students.

The students will be given extensive instruction in all areas of Microsoft Office 2007. After this course, the student will be efficient in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Power Point.
Advanced Marketing
Advanced Marketing is an in-depth study of marketing, with an emphasis on management. Topics covered will include communications, marketing technology, buying and pricing, marketing research, and promotion.
Fundamentals of Marketing
In this course, students will cover economics, stock market, target markets, marketing careers, and selling. Introduction to Marketing is an excellent class for students who wish to pursue a career in business.
Keyboarding/Word Processing
Keyboarding skills are vital in today's world of computers. In this class, students will be taught to type by touch with speed and control and will type business letters, memorandums, short reports and tables using Microsoft Word. 10-key and Desktop Publishing will also be covered. This class is highly recommended for all students.
