lab report
April 29, 2009
Your lab repports will be due on Tuesday. Obviously most of you do not have a lot of data to interpret, so the background and discussion will be weighted more heavily. You have resources on technique, fouling communities and medicine from the sea. Use those in your background and discussion. We did not take the time to state hypotheses before the lab, but you all had one in mind before you started. Put that in words and relate it back to the background about fouling communities, invasive species and your organism. The format for the lab report is in the class downloads at the bottom of the page

Sterile techniques
April 23, 2009
Go to these sites to read about the techniques we will be using. You must decide whether you will be streak plating a sample or pouring and spreading the bacteria. You may want to start some background research on the organisms you want to use for the lab. You will eventually write a lab report on the activity.
