This is a quarter class with an emphasis on nutrition including cooking labs that
reinforce eating nutritionally.

This is a quarter class giving students a chance to practice technical
reading while making a sewing project.
Students learn about fibers, fabric production,clothing care,and how to use the sewing machine.

Students interested in creating art through fabrics will enjoy this class and earn an art credit as well. The sewing machine will be used to make individual projects of a students choice. All students will learn about the history of quilting and create a quilt of their choice. Many techniques will be learned and used to make small
projects. The life-long need for the ability to read and follow directions, is stressed.
