Spanish 1A is an introductory Spanish course completed in the sixth grade. Students learn to communicate in Spanish using the skills of listening,speaking, reading and writing.
Class objectives for the 4th six weeks:
talk about foods and beverages for dinner.
Describe people and things using the verb ser.
Discuss health, food and exercise choices.
• Please use the links posted on the welcome page to practice Spanish outside of the classroom every night.

Spanish 1B is the second half of the Spanish 1 course and is completed in the seventh grade.
In this course students will build on the language skills acquired in Spanish 1A. Students will further develop communication, listening, speaking and writing skills through a variety of class activities.
Students will also receive one high school credit upon satisfactory completion of Spanish 1A and Spanish 1B.
Students will continue to explore the Spanish language and the cultures of the many and varied people who speak it.
4th 6 weeks objectives:

tell what happened using the past tense

Spanish 2 is offered to eighth grade students and builds on skills learned in Spanish 1.
Objectives and goals for the 4th six weeks:
1. give directions for getting places.
2. Give a friend directions for a task.
3. Present chapter 3B project on asking and giving directions.
