Thank you for visiting my webpage. My name is Rachel Copeland, and I am a 3rd Grade Language Arts teacher. I hope that the information and resources on my page will be helpful to you.
On my website, weekly Spelling Lists will be posted. Also, at the bottom of the page, you will find other important class information. Test Taking Strategies, Reading Logs, and Spelling Practice Test templates are avaiable for you.
Also included on this page are some of my favorite websites. There are many wonderful websites that your child can use to help review for the SOL tests in the May. Testing will be here before we know it, and daily review is important. There are many fun review games for students to study, and these sites provide practice in all subject areas.

Adjusted Dismissal June 17, 2009
There will bee adjusted dismissal today and tomorrow at 12:30. Please contact me if there are any changes regarding how your child will be getting home.
Our 3rd through 5th graders are invited to attend a dance, in celebration of working so hard on their SOL tests. The cost is $1.00, and tickets need to be purchase by Tuesday, June 2nd. Please be ready to pick your child up at 4:30. Come out for snacks and lots of dancing. :)

This is the big SOL Testing Week. Please make sure your child gets a good night sleep. There will be breakfast served each morning for any student testing. Your child has worked very hard to get ready for this test, and I know they are going to do great. Good Luck and Use Those Test Taking Strategies!!!:)

The Science Night will be on Tuesday, February 3 at 6:30 p.m. Come out for a night of fun and learning. Play Science games and see many great exhibitors. :)

Students will be taking the District Wide Language Arts tests all this week. Please make sure that your child gets a good nights sleep and something for breakfast each morning. I know that my students are going to do a great job. Use those test taking strategies! :)
