WELCOME TO ART
updated January 6, 2009
Welcome to Art!!

Albertville Elementary has added an Art class!! I’m so excited about the fact that our third and fourth grade students will now have Art. The students will have Art classes every other week for fifty minutes. I’m really looking forward working with the children and getting to know each one of them.
In third and fourth grade, we will continue to expand on the elements of art and the principles of design as the basis of our Art curriculum. The students will produce art using a variety of processes and media. We will also learn to discuss and understand works of art. The students will be exposed to great works of art and learn about the artist.
Please check with your child’s teacher about what day their students will attend art classes. Students will need to wear old clothes on their art day because art can sometimes be messy.
Below is a list of items that we will need in our Art class. If you would be willing to donate any of the items to our class, I would greatly appreciate it. Just send the item to school with your child, and their teacher will make sure that I get it. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Sincerely,

Tara Snider – Art Teacher
