We will have a wonderful time learning science in the fifth grade. All fifth grade students must take the Mississippi Science Test. It will take a lot of hard work but we will be prepared and blow the test away in March!
At the end of the year fifth grade students should know and understand:
1. How to demonstrate an understanding of scientific inquiry using process skills.
2. Understand relationships of the properties of objects and materials, positions and motion of objects, and transfer of energy to explain the physical world.
3. Predict characteristics, structures, life cycles, environments, evolution, and diversity of organisms.
4. Develop an understanding of the properties of Earth materials, objects in the sky, and changes in Earth and sky.
