| Welcome back 2012 Grizzlies! |
My name is Mrs. Nichols and I am sooooooo excited to be with you at Rocky Mountain. I've been teaching for 12 years, a few out at Eagle, and a few at Sunny Hills High School in Southern California. My experiences as an instructor and learner in these two different communities have set me up to be a positive, enjoyable and challenging resource to you!
Just a quick note as you prepare for school, you will need some specific materials for this class: a 1 and a half inch 3 ringed binder, 5 dividers, and 150 sheets of COLLEGE-RULED paper. So if you are out shopping school supplies, grab those for English.
I look forward to meeting you all, hearing about your summers and setting up for a great school year!

Freshmen English is a year dedicated to the experience of finally arriving at high school. You guys survived middle school and now, the fun begins. In terms of literature, we read To Kill a Mockingbird, Romeo and Juliet, The Odyssey and a book of choice. All of these celebrate responsibility, beliefs and values, relationships, and self-identity... big issues for 9th grade.
