Literacy Centers

We will begin our Literacy Centers on Monday, Sept. 15th. The first center for every child in our class is ALWAYS 15 min. of Independent Reading. After the timer, they will quietly transition to their next assigned center with their partner. The centers next week will be: Big Books, Listening Center, Read/Write the Room, Writing Center, Computer Center.
During Literacy Center time, the teachers will testing students to assess what independent reading level they are on. |

READING (homework)

Students shall have a short book read to them or read one on their own (one that they can read with ease). Complete a Readers Response Log entry. They've done one of these in class already so they should be familiar with it. They may write more than one sentence if they wish (use and attach a blank sheet of paper to their log sheet).
