Welcome!
Welcome to Mrs. Mandola's Third Grade class. I hope that this website will help you see all the things we are working on in our class.

Language Arts
In Language Arts, we are exploring all kinds of nouns. We began by learning about common, proper, singular, and plural nouns. We are now being detectives and looking for examples of possessive nouns.

We've been working hard on our palindrome projects. They are due Friday, October 17, 2008.

Reading
In Reading, we are identifying the main ideas of non-fiction passages and finding details to support the main idea. We are reading about our government in our social studies books. We are looking forward to starting our next chapter book, Class Election.

We are currently having a great time discovering the different states of matter.

Social Studies
We are really enjoying learning about our government and elections in Social Studies. We are also looking forward to a service project in November to help us realize that we can make a difference in our community.
