| We will have a Valentine's party on February 14th. If there is bad weather, we will have our party when we return to school. Your child should have a list of names for the students in our class. If you did not receive one, please let us know. We are asking for $1 for the expense of the party. If you plan on sending something, please let us know. |

Back to School! Happy New Year!

| We got back to school and hit the ground running. The second week of the new year brought PALS and reading tests! We have worked very hard and are trying to get back into the swing of things! The second semester is almost here....can you believe it? Your child will be bringing home a homework sheet to be done each night along with their regular reading. This will have their spelling words for the week so keep it safe until Fridays. Be sure to sign it and send it back of Fridays! |

| Today is Election Day. We have been learning about our government and the leaders of our community, state and country. We hold elections to vote for our favorite candidate. Enjoy your day at home and think about the things we have learned! |

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

| We will travel by bus to the Pumpkin Patch in Rural Retreat on Wednesday, October 31. Be sure to return your permission slip along with your $6.00 as soon as possible. Pack your lunch in a paper bag. We will provide the drinks. We will have lunch at the Rural Retreat Lake. Be sure to check the weather and dress appropriately. Wear old shoes because it might be muddy. Come prepared to have lots of fun! |
