We are a Reading First School. For the week of November 5-9, we will begin our third book of our series. Our story this week is called "Stan's Stunt". Can you do a stunt or a trick? Stan, the skunk, can but his friends are afraid to let him.
We are continuing to learn about all kinds of blends. We will continue to work with all the short vowels along with the diagraphs sh, th, and ck. Your child should have a story to read each night in their red homework folders inside of their colorful 'briefcases'. Please take the time to listen to your child read whenever you can. Encourage them to read with expression. Have fun with reading and make it an enjoyable time for you and your child. Remember, they grow up all too soon! |
