Algebra II Online Math Book

Algebra 1 Loop 1 (repeat of second semester)
Power Standards
1) Generalize patterns using explicitly or recursively defined functions
2)Compare and contrast various forms of representations of patterns
3)Understand and compare the properties of linear and nonlinear functions
4)Describe the effects of parameter changes on linear exponential decay/growth and quadratic functions including intercepts
5)Use symbolic algebra to represent and solve problems that involve linear and quadratic relationships including equations and inequalities
6)Describe and use algebraic manipulations including factoring and rules of integer exponents and apply properties of exponents (including order of operations) to simplify expressions
7)Use and solve equivalent forms of equations (linear, absolute value, and quadratic)
8)Use and solve systems of linear equations or inequalities with two variables
9)Identify quantitative relationships and determine the type(s) of functions that might model the situation to solve the problem
10)Analyze linear and quadratic functions by investigating rates of change, intercepts and zeros.

Algebra II Power Standards

1. Compare and order real number on a number line by using various models to solve problems and demonstrate the understanding of very large and very small numbers
2. Apply operations to matrices and complex numbers
3. Judge the reasonableness of numerical computations and their results, including complex numbers
4. Generalize, compare and contrast representations of patterns whether explicitly or recursively
5. Compare properties of linear, exponential, logarithmic and rational functions including any parameter changes
6. Use symbolic algebra to represent and solve problems that involve exponential, quadratic and logarithmic relationships.
7. Use and solve equivalent forms of equations and inequalities
8. Use and solve systems of linear and quadratic equations or inequalities with two variables
9. Use trigonometric relationships with right triangle to determine lengths and angle measures.
