We will be studying literature from the Anglo Saxon period through the 20th Century.
There will also be a compare/contrast paper due, at the end, between two British authors, of your choice, and two books you have read from them.

Literature will be read and studied through the following themes:
Into the Unknown, On Your Own, Truth and Consequences, Friends and Enemies, Hard Choices, Ties That Bind, Imagine, Crossing Borders, Turning Points, Heroes and Monsters, Poetry, and Can This Be Love?

We will look at several movies from various genres of film and do critiques, other writing activities, and various projects on how film has portrayed history and issues.
