Preparing for a successful career is an important part of the Pro-Start curriculum for both years of the program. Units of study will include:
Successful Customer Relations, Preparing and serving safe food,Preventing accidents and injuries, Kitchen basics, Foodservice equipment, Nutrition, Breakfast foods & sandwiches, Working with people, Salads & garnishes, Business math, Fruits & vegetables,and Controlling food service costs

Pro-2 is the advanced food service class. This class completes the Pro-Start program and there is a national test at the end of the program. Units for this course include:
History of Foodservice, Potatoes & grains, The lodging industry, The art of service, Dessers & baked goods, Marketing &the menu, Purchasing & inventory control, Meat, poultry,& seafood, Accounting practices, Stocks, soups & sauces, Tourism & retail industry and Communicating with customers.
