August 18th - 22nd:
Well, here we go off and running into our first full week. This class is filled with students who are eager to learn!
Math: We are learning how to copy math problems from the book into our notebooks while reviewing fact families, missing addends, and properties of addition.
Spelling: We will have our first spelling test on Friday. These words should be practiced nightly at home.
This week's spelling words:

sick rock
luck crop
snack mess
head shut
miss stamp
jump click
pond cat
man can
bathtub anthill
Language: Our grammar test will be on Thursday and include questions, complete sentences and fragment sentences.
Handwriting: We are learning to write in cursive the following letters - a, c, o, e, l
Reading: First Day Jitters
Science/Social Studies: We will begin these subjects next week after STAR and DIBELS testing are over.
