I am welcoming all students to Watervliet for the upcoming year. The courses that I teach will be interesting and informative to all students who wish to gain new knowledge to be used in your own life. This site was just created on 9/8/09 and will quickly become a resource to all students and parents.

Entrepreneurship is a class the goes through the process of owning and operating a business. It is a project based course that allows the student to work on creating a business plan for creation of a new business.

The Foods and Nutrition class is an beginning class in food preparation. The class stresses safety, sanitation, and nutrition. This is the second year that I am teaching the class at Watervliet and expect to have a great year . We have new equiupment that will assist the labs and I expect to have fun through learning with all of my students.

This course is presented in a way that concepts are taught then repeated, each repetition consisting of more complex learning. A variety of skill-building routines are employed to help students develop basic competency on both the alphabetic and numeric keyboards. A review of language rules governing use of punctuation, plurals, and sentence structure is included. Students will produce letter, memoranda, and report as application and reinforcement of the rules. Career exploration and advance education opportunities are investigated as a practical tool to strengthen the skills introduced in the curriculum. The students will utilize the various computer applications found in a modern workplace

Fantasy Basketball has entered our class with great results with outstanding student participation and enthusiasm. Mr. Waring helped the Sport students to get the leagues activated. Watch for the postings to see who is the league leaders through the season.
