| Our chance to shine as authors on the state-wide TAKS test is here! We have the whole day to fashion a great essay on the topic we are assigned. We must also exercise our revision and editing skills to answer some questions. I am confident that with concentration and effort every student will rise to the challenge do a wonderful job on this test. |

3 AR tests

The first 3 AR tests for the 3rd 9 weeks grading period are due at 3:00 PM.
Remember that non-fiction must be a part of your AR reading. A book report may be substituted for one of your AR tests. Read, read, read! |

| This is the day I will record the grades for the 5 AR tests taken during the 2nd 9 week period. Remember that 2 tests must be non-fiction. |

| This date is basically 1/2 way through the second 9 week grading period. To help students keep up with their AR requirement, we will take 3 AR test grades at this time to enter on the progress report. |
