Hello all!
We are going to be starting a school newspaper here at Kettle. This is especially important for all of you English enthusiasts! You can write articles on what's going on around school and in the community and submit them to the school paper. Assembling the school newspaper will also be great experience for anyone who aspires to go farther in the field of journalism.
This idea began from a technology grant proposal I helped a couple of my fellow teacher friends put together for the grade school they teach at. The grant included some money for Microsoft Publisher--a great tool for creating newspapers and other publications. Seeing as we already have Publisher as a part of our Microsoft Office Suite, the other faculty members and I thought it would be a great idea to put together a school newspaper group.
Anyone interested in being part of this group, come talk to me. Those of you who don't want to be part of the group but still want to submit ideas, don't worry! You still can. In fact, I highly encourage you to.
