Ceramics 3rd Period
This course will give students a basic understanding of ceramic processes and the history of ceramics and pottery. Students will use the techniques of wedging, pinch pots, coiling and slab construction to create original pieces of art. Students will learn about the firing and glazing process

Ceramics I & II 7th Period
Ceramics I will give students a basic understanding of ceramic processes and the history of ceramics and pottery. Students will use the techniques of wedging, pinch pots, coiling and slab construction to create original pieces of art. Students will learn about the firing and glazing process


Ceramics II will enable students to recognize the properties, possibilities, and limitations of clay by creating functional and non-functional works of ceramics and pottery using intermediate level hand-building and basic wheel-throwing techniques.
Prerequisite for ceramics I: Ceramics/Pottery I

Drawing & Painting/2D & 3D Comprehensive I 2nd Period
Students will develop basic perceptual, observational and compositional skills to communicate a range of subject matter, symbols, ideas and concepts in 2 and 3 dimensional art forms. A variety of media, processes and techniques will be explored in this course.
