This is an introductory class in taking digital photos and manipulating them using Photoshop through weekly assignments and a portfolio.

This is an entry level class designed to teach writing, AP style, civic literacy regarding development of free press, role of reporters, ethics in journalism, layout and design. It is a goal to get students published in the school newspaper if their writing is of acceptable quality and fits the needs of the page editors. Students will have a major project and an opportunity to be mentored by some newspaper staff members in creating this project.

This is a class in which students produce the school newspaper. The class includes students of various ages with differing levels of experience and with various responsibilities. Emphasis is on AP style, deadlines, elements of layout and design as well as advertising sales, photos, etc.
