Welcome!
My name is Mark Parsons. I am a P.E./Health teacher at SHS. I also coach Running Backs for the Southeast Raider Football team. I am a graduate from the University of West Georgia and I look forward to the new school year.

American Government
This course is designed to provide a general understanding of how the United States government was formed and how it has evolved over the past 200+ years. The general emphasis of the class will be devoted to our government template, the bodies of government, and their functions. Reference will be given to specific time periods that help shape our government into what it is today.

World History
The World History course is required of all students at Southeast Whitfield High School. This course is a survey of World History from the First Civilizations and Empires through the globalization of the contemporary world. This course will examine and evaluate matters relating to the students' role in an ever changing and multicultural world. It will include historical, geographical, economic, technological, social, political, and current event strands.
