ALL PERIODS: We have finished the persuasive essay. It should have been written in class using the laptops. Due dates:
Intro. paragrapgh 2/26 (Friday)
Counter paragrapgh 3/1 (Monday)
Body paragraph 1 & 2 3/5 (Friday)
Conclusion Paragraph 3/8 (Monday)
Final Draft 3/12 (Friday)
3/12 is the end of the 6 week progress report grading period. Late work cannot be counted for the 6 week progress report.
ALL REDOS OF THE ESSAY MUST RETURNED NO LATER THAN 3/26 (FRIDAY).

Periods 2/3 & 6/7: The next reading log of the new term (done on a reading log sheet)will be due 3/19 (Friday). At that time 4 logs (two on the front and two on the back) will be due. NO READING LOGS ARE DUE 3/26. The next log will be due 4/9 (Friday).

PERIOD 2/3 DOES NOT HAVE VOCABULARY HOMEWORK. FROM 3/8 UNTIL THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR THEY WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE HARVARD ALIAS VOCABUALRY STUDY. ALL MATERIALS WILL BE SUPPLIED AND KEPT IN THE CLASSROOM.
Period 6/7:
Study Vocabulary/ Units 5-8. Review pages 68, 69, 70, 71, 74, & 75 are due 3/12 (Friday) and the quiz is Friday, 3/19. Students need to know definitions, synonyms, antonyms, and parts of speech. Students do not need to know how to spell the words.
Period 5:
Voc./Spelling Unit 8 is due 3/12 (Friday). The quiz will be on 3/19 (Friday).
