Review vocabulary words.
Finish the last 6 questions in the Breakfast of Champions packet. Mark Twain satire: pick the correct word that would make the sentence satirical and then write who or what the satirical target is.(pts)
Go to youtube and locate the video for "Craigslist" by Weird Al Yankovich. View the video and consider the images, the tune and who is being satired.
Locate the lyrics to "Craigslist" online and complete the following:
Find 4 examples of satire in the lyrics. Annotate the selection by noting the verse or chorus you are examining. For instance, V1, then put the line in quotes. NEXT, tell what type of satire you feel the line is using (humor, biting, sarcasm, hyperbole irony etc). THEN state what is the target of the satire, such as, education, greed, lonely people etc.(pts)
