I am extremely excited to have your child this year. He/She is in capable hands; I have been teaching for more than a decade. I count it a privilege and honor to have this opportunity in furthering your child's learning experience.

Middle school is a challenging transition. Students may have a difficult time making the responsibility changes. Eventually they adapt to their new environment, but it takes some adjustments. Great organizational and study skills will help your child be more successful.

Communication:
I try to provide the best education possible for your child; I spend an enormous amount of time actively working with your child in class during our instructional periods. During my conference period, I plan effective lessons, grade papers, enter grades, conduct team meetings, and hold parent conferences.

Daily communication is difficult. However, please be assured that I will contact you if there are any academic or behavior concerns. The best way to know how your child is doing in class is by looking at their planner, reviewing graded papers, checking the website for assignments, and visiting Infinite Campus on a regular basis to see updated grades and assignments.

Progress reports are distributed every three weeks as well as report cards every six weeks. Please sign the progress reports, report cards, and have your child return them to their advisory teacher.
