3rd Grade Math
The second graders continue working on simple addition, as well as recognizing and counting the value of like coins. They have also been practicing estimation, and greater than/less than. They have also started learning how to use/chart the weather. They are having Fun With Shapes and learning to recognize the basic shapes.

5th Grade Math
Third graders continue to work on subtraction as well as a little multiplication. Some have been working on fractions, telling time, and ordinal numbers. They continue to work on calendar skills, such as naming the date, identifying today, tomorrow, and yesterday, estimation, and patterns. They have also started charting/graphing the weather. They are also working on learning how to Skip Count, as they earn a nickel for every assignment completed.
4th Grade Math
The fourth graders are continuing to work on addition, as well as subtraction. They are also working on making charts, by keeping track of the weather each day. They are currently working on identifying and counting mixed coins. They have to be able to Skip Count by 5's, since they earn a nickel for every assignment completed. They have been practicing by purchasing items in the "Classroom Store".
3rd Grade Communication Arts
Second graders have been busy practicing sight words. They continue to practice their weekly Spelling words. They have also been working on letter/sound discrimination activities.
5th Grade Communication Arts
The third graders continue to work on writing and spelling sight words. They are also working on letter/sound discrimination activities. They continue to improve their handwriting, making sure they are using correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
4th Grade Communication Arts
The fourth graders have been working on fluency in reading. They continue to improve in handwriting as they focus on correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling.
