We will be dressing up for Halloween on Monday, October 31st.
We walk to Dolan Manor to take treats to the people there. We will have a celebration in the afternoon. Students are allowed to wear costumes all day.

Please continue to practice basic multiplication facts with your child, so their proficiency increases daily.

Language Arts


We will continue to review verbs. We are now studying adjectives.

We have been writing paragraphs on a variety of topics and subject matter.


Math


We have mastered 2 digit multiplication. We have also mastered division with one digit divisors. We are working on two digit divisors.


Reading


We are finishing Holes. It is a wonderful novel. I hope you will take time to read this delightful novel with your child.





Religion


We are writing a 5 point prayer. We will be creating our good copy, and displaying it.


Science


We are beginning the study of cells and living organisms.



Spelling


Each week we will have a set of about 12 words taken from the novel we are reading in class. On Monday we will look up the definitions in class. Students will also be given a ditto (worksheet) that requires them to use the spelling words in context of sentences. This is due on Friday as well as putting the spelling words in ABC order in their notebook.

Test on spelling and definitions are on Thursday.
