Mahatma Ghandi Root Word Quiz Friday, NOV 9th! ALL 30 words on Quiz!!!!
updated November 5, 2012 Science is the underlying theme of this course. It forms the basis on which class discussion will be centered. Science includes, and is included in, many facets of everyday life. The study of science can serve many purposes. It can be utilized especially when making decisions. Science incorporates logic and reason within a framework of methods. Learning the components of this framework will allow you to ask questions and answer them in a logical fashion. A firm grasp of science can lead to a fuller understanding of an issue and better ways of addressing (dealing with) that issue. Biology is the science of life and we will be exploring science related specifically to life throughout this course. Topics will include: the nature of science; chemistry of life; cells; genetics (biotechnology); human interaction with nature; and the diversity of life.
