2nd grade is a wonderful year for our students at FCA. We have so much to look forward to each day - Bible class, math activities, reading groups, writing stories and more. Make sure to stop by our classroom and check out what we are up to!

The required summer reading for 2nd grade is "The Treasure" by Uri Shulevitz and "The Raft" by Jim LaMarche. Several activities at the beginning of third grade will be based on these two books.

I would encourage you, however, to have your children read throughout the summer - sometimes aloud to you and sometimes to themselves. Mrs. Hall has provided a list of authors that your child might enjoy and I will include these in our last Wednesday folder.

May 25 - Last Day of School - chapel assembly begins at 10 a.m. Following award presentations and the end-of-the-year video, your children will receive their report cards and be dismissed.

The Hope Children's Home has asked us to collect cereal for the children at their facility to eat for breakfast. It is our goal to collect 12 cereal boxes each month.

Cereal boxes are trickling in :-)

As we conclude the school year with some favorite Bible stories, we will also be memorizing some beloved verses of scripture.
