Creativity through Technology

Welcome to AES resource 2008-2009! This year's essential concept is Creativity through Technology! The AES Gifted Program is fortunate to be one of the four Model Classrooms for the Albertville City School System. In addition to the class set of 15 iPods received last year, we will add 15 Apple MacBook computers (yes, that means that every student will have their own laptop to use while in resource!), a wireless printer, a digital camera, a video camera, an ELMO document camera, and a 50 inch plasma TV! How cool is that!? We will learn through the use of this new technology this year. We will complete research projects, create presentations, design slideshows, record original podcasts, and have fun in the process! This year won't be like any other! I am proud to be a part of the technology expansion in Albertville and I know you are, too! Fourth graders will have the opportunity to research and create projects which may advance to a regional technology competition at Jacksonville State University! Technology is the language kids speak and I am excited at the opportunity to experiment and learn through the latest in technology for the classroom!
