This semester course focuses on the historical, political, and cultural impacts of First Nations people on the United States and the state of Wisconsin. Treaty rights, tribal sovereignty, and other contemporary issues connected to native people will be discussed at length. Students enrolled in this class will have an opportunity to travel to Waswagoning on the Lac Du Flambeau Indian Reservation.
