English 11: American Literature
English 116 is a survey of American Literature spanning from the 18th century to modern day. The class looks at issues and ideas that Americans have dealt with since the country was founded and it requires students to deal with these issues head on. In addition, the class prepares students for college-level English classes with a high demand on reading and writing. There is also a great deal of emphasis on public speaking.
